Today I'd like to introduce you to author Amy Patrick (aka Amy DeLuca), my 2013 Golden Heart Sister who is also a 2014 Golden Heart finalist, both years in the YA category.
Amy is so talented she also writes NA. CHANNEL 20 SOMETHING is her first NA novel. It takes place in the world of television broadcasting, which Amy knows well.

22-year-old Heidi Haynes is almost one
year into her “real life”. She has her first reporting job, her first
apartment, and a comfortable relationship with her college sweetheart. But for
some reason she’s not as eager to talk about walking down the aisle as he is.
Heidi secretly longs for big cities,
big-market breaking news, and real independence from her way-too-close-by
helicopter parents. Problem is, the last time she left the security of home for
new places and new people, things didn’t go so well. Disastrously, in fact, and

Amy Patrick grew up in Mississippi (with a few years in Texas thrown in for
flavor) and has lived in six states, including Rhode Island, where she now
lives with her husband and two sons. She’s been a professional singer, a DJ, a
voiceover artist, and always a storyteller, whether it was directing her
younger siblings during hours of “pretend” or inventing characters and dialogue
while hot-rollering her hair before middle school every day. For many years she
was a writer of true crime, medical anomalies, and mayhem, working as a news
anchor and health reporter for six different television stations. Then she
retired to make up her own stories.
